Dr. Austin Hansen is a highly trained podiatrist serving Cape Coral and Fort Myers, FL. He completed his bachelor's degree in Biotechnology at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Hansen completed his residency at the University of Miami-Bruce W. Carter Veteran’s Hospital, where he gained extensive training in foot and ankle surgery, minimally invasive surgical techniques, ankle scopes, sports medicine, trauma, diabetic foot care, advanced wound care, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, arthritis, neuropathy, vascular issues, and limb salvage.
Outside of podiatry, Dr. Hansen enjoys spending time with family, hunting, fishing, participating in church events, and relaxing at the beach. He is excited to serve the Southwest Florida community with the latest evidence-based medicine to diagnose and treat foot and ankle pathologies. He is currently welcoming new patients at his Cape Coral and Fort Myers office locations.

There was a little bit more of wait in the patient room than I would have liked, but the staff is always pleasant ant attentive. My regular Doc, Austin Hansen, was off for a few days, so I was seen by one of the new docs on staff. Was up to speed on what needed to be done - last of four rounds of injections. I wish I could remember her name! Regardless, she did a nice job.

I have known Dr Hansen for some time now. He has worked on many issues Diabetic foot care, broken foot, and all kinds of other foot and toe issues. i.e. nails, bones, skin, etc Thank you Dr Hansen and staff.
Dr. Hansen and his team are always wonderful to deal with. They are knowledgeable, friendly, polite and answer all questions. They spend all the time you need with them and you never feel rushed when you are there. I feel like I am in with an old school doctor when I am there (although he is very young) the way he listens and takes time with me. I would recommend him highly.
